My work is built from small moments of wonder, whimsy, and imagination.

Looking up into a pine tree and wondering what it would be like to live there.
Receiving flowers and realizing there’s no vase and only what’s nearby to hold them.
Starting a piece with no plan and following where it leads.
These moments are simple, and yet they left an impression that I wanted to capture.

Each piece is slowly wood burned and then painted. There is no undo, so every decision becomes part of the final piece.

The process is full of patience, care, and small details. The outcome is often unexpected. In my process there’s room for curiosity, imagination, and a little bit of fun.
